The Walrus and the Carpenter
| The Walrus and the Carpenter by Lewis Carroll: Lewis
Carroll's famous poem, The Walrus and the Carpenter, was originally
published in 1871 in his book Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice
Found There. It was a wonderful bit of nonsense, recited to Alice during
her encounter with Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Now, The Walrus and the
Carpenter is brought to life in a stunning picture book by the acclaimed
illustrator and author Jane Breskin Zalben. Her delicate, richly colored
paintings of the portly Walrus, the dour Carpenter, and all the naive little
Oysters perfectly capture the playful spirit of Carroll's poem.
